After taking a course on assessing environmental impacts, I began working as an intern with the City of Oxnard at their Advanced Wastewater Purification Facility (AWPF). This state-of-the-art facility features reverse osmosis, microfiltration, and purification using ultraviolet light and hydrogen peroxide. I worked to understand how effective the constructed wetlands present at the facility would be at treating brine in the recycled water prior to being sent to the ocean.
I am proficient in using sondes to analyze water quality parameters. I am experienced in calibration, recording, and analyzing data from a variety of equipment like YSI Professional Plus and EXO2.
I have consulted in projects for Channel Islands Harbor in understanding how certain elevated water quality parameters may be mitigated or managed.
